Each knife has a uniquely grained handle made of African blackwood, American walnut, Latin American bocote, Canadian bird's eye maple, Scandinavian curly birch and Brazilian tulipwood. With their special features, the Ikon series knives are a holiday experience. The durable riveted handle made of selected (sustainably grown) African grenadilla wood (Dalbergia melanoxylon) is spectacular and each piece has a unique pattern. The special wood is particularly suitable for use in the kitchen due to its waterproof and hygienic properties. At the same time, the natural, comfortably warm to the touch and ergonomically shaped handle is a particular pleasure to hold and use. The unique geometry with double tang fits well in the hand, guarantees optimal balance and ensures even cutting, even over long periods of time. The half tang makes the knife less heavy, which allows for energy-saving work. In addition, the design allows the use and sharpening of the entire blade. The blade is forged from a single piece of high-quality stainless steel X50CrMoV15 with a 29° cutting angle, which is characterized by a high level of robustness and durability. The blade reaches all the way into the handle (full tang). The hand-finished finish by experienced Wüsthof experts ensures exceptional sharpness and quick and easy cutting.

• Double handle geometry - Balance and ergonomics - the special geometry with double handle ensures balanced handling. The knife therefore fits well in the hand and guarantees an even cut.
• Half handle - The knife has a lower weight thanks to its thinner handle design. This allows for energy-saving work. In addition, the design allows the entire blade to be used and resharpened.
• Paring knife - The practical knife with a short, curved cutting edge is particularly suitable for peeling and cleaning round fruits and vegetables. Valuable vitamins remain intact thanks to the precision blade, which reduces food waste.
• Handle - The African grenadilla wood handle panels are permanently riveted and assembled without gaps. The waterproof wood comes from extremely hygienic and controlled cultivation.
• Ribbed blade - When cutting, small air pockets are formed in the recesses of the blade. The positive effect of this is that thin or soft foods can be removed from the blade more easily during use and do not stick to it.
• Precision double serrated edge - The bread knife with its unique double serrated edge cuts through hard crusts like soft bread or large fruits like pumpkins with just as much ease. The difference compared to traditional serrated edges is immediately noticeable.
